Lex Magna 2025, the flagship academic and cultural law fest organized by the University School of Law & Legal Studies (USLLS), Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi. Scheduled to take place from March 3 to March 11, 2025, the fest provides a platform for students to participate in various legal, literary, and cultural competitions while interacting with esteemed legal professionals.

About the University

The University School of Law & Legal Studies (USLLS) was established in 2001 under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), a premier institution for legal education in India. USLLS offers a Five-Year Integrated Professional Law Course, along with LL.M, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research opportunities. The institution is known for its rigorous academic framework, practical experiential learning, and commitment to fostering legal acumen among students.

Lex Magna 2025 will feature a diverse range of competitions aimed at honing students’ advocacy, negotiation, research, and analytical skills. The event includes:

Legal Events

  • Legal Startup & Business Plan Competition – March 4, 2025
  • Model United Nations (UNHRC Committee) – March 5-6, 2025
  • Client Counselling Competition – March 7, 2025
  • PIL Drafting Competition – March 10, 2025

Literary Events

  • Extempore Speech Competition – March 3, 2025
  • Legal Quiz – March 3, 2025

Cultural & Creative Events

  • Mr. & Ms. Lex Magna – March 11, 2025
  • Video Clip Making Competition – March 4, 2025

Eligibility

The fest is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized colleges and universities across India. Participants may register individually or in teams, depending on the competition. Some competitions require prior submission of entries, as detailed in the attached brochure.

Registration Fee

The registration fees for various events are as follows:

  • Client Counselling Competition: ₹500 per team
  • MUN, PIL Drafting, Legal Startup: ₹300 per participant/team
  • Extempore, Legal Quiz, Mr. & Ms. Lex Magna: ₹100 per participant
  • Video Clip Making Competition: ₹50 per participant

Prizes

Prizes and awards will be given in each category, including cash prizes, certificates of excellence, and participation certificates. MUN participants will also receive awards such as Best Delegate, High Commendation, and Special Mentions.

The event will be held at the University School of Law & Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Dwarka, New Delhi.

For registration, participants can fill out the respective Google Forms linked in the brochure. For competitions requiring submissions, entries must be sent via email as per the guidelines provided in the brochure.
