About GNLU
Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), located in Gujarat, India, was established by the Government of Gujarat under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 and is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC). GNLU is a comprehensive, student-centric, multidisciplinary and research-focused University, dedicated to build an environment enabling critical thinking on the fundamental legal issues.
About the Course
This Programme seeks to introduce students to the study of public policy and governance-making and implementation processes to create an improved understanding of events happening in society. This programme is framed as a policy science concerned with the interdisciplinary process of analysis, planning formulation, implementation and evaluation of Public Policy and Governance as its core area. Public policy is the cornerstone of government action, encompassing a wide array of decisions, laws, regulations, and actions designed to address pressing issues facing societies.
From healthcare and education to environmental protection and economic development, public policy influences every aspect of our lives. Understanding how policies are formulated, implemented, and evaluated is essential for policymakers, government officials, civil servants, and professionals across various sectors to make informed decisions and drive positive change.
