Hon’ble Justice Om Prakash Shukla transferred to Delhi High Court from Allahabad. Former speaker at LSE, he brings vast legal and judicial experience.

New Delhi | July 15, 2025 — The legal fraternity extends its heartfelt congratulations to Hon’ble Mr. Justice Om Prakash Shukla on his recent transfer from the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad to the Delhi High Court, effective July 21, 2025.

Justice Shukla, a distinguished member of the Indian judiciary, brings with him a wealth of experience and a legacy of judicial excellence. He graduated in Law from Lucknow University and was enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh in 2003. Over the course of his legal career, he has handled a broad spectrum of cases encompassing Civil, Service, Constitutional, Revenue, Criminal, and Miscellaneous matters across the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Judicature at Allahabad (including the Lucknow Bench), and the Delhi High Court.

He has served in several prestigious legal capacities, including as Group 'A' Counsel for the Union of India and Senior Panel Lawyer for the State of Uttar Pradesh before the Supreme Court of India. Additionally, he acted as Standing Counsel for esteemed public sector undertakings such as ONGC, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghathan, GAIL, and NHPC, among others.

Justice Shukla was elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court on August 3, 2022, and was subsequently sworn in as a Permanent Judge on March 21, 2024. His dedication to jurisprudence and public service has been consistently acknowledged and respected.

In recognition of his academic insight and administrative acumen, Justice Shukla was invited as a speaker at the prestigious London School of Economics on June 8, 2024, where he addressed an international gathering on the theme of "Global Academic Administration." His participation underscored India’s growing influence in global legal and academic discourse.
