ICFAI Law School, ICFAI University, Dehradun is organising its 6th Inter University Moot Court Competition at National Level in Offline Mode.

About the University

The ICFAI University Dehradun, Uttarakhand (hereinafter referred to as the University) was established under the ICFAI University Act 2003 (Act No.16 of 2003) passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly and assented to by the Governor on July 08, 2003.

About Competition

This Moot Court Competition invites law students to deliver well-reasoned and persuasive arguments on a given legal case and helps in demonstrating their ability to analyse complex legal issue, and helps in deeper understanding of legal concepts, procedures. The objective of this competition is to provide a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and application of legal concepts.

• Last date of Soft Copy of Memorial Submission: 10th February 2025
• Inaugural Ceremony, Hard Copy Memorial Submission, Preliminary Round, Quarter Final Round, Researcher’s Test, Social Eve : 15th February 2025
• Semi-Final Round, Final Round, Valedictory Ceremony: 16th February 2025

Prizes

• Winning Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 21,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
• Runner-up Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 11,000/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
• Best Speaker: Cash Prize of Rs. 2,100/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
• Best Researcher: Cash Prize of Rs. 2,100/- + Merit Certificate + Trophy
• Participants: Certificate of Participation

Registration Fee

Rs. 3000/-

Registration Process

• Each participating team shall fill out the provisional registration form before filling up the registration form.
• Each participating team shall fill out the registration form by 5th February, 2024; 23:59 IST.
• All teams shall be required to make a payment of INR 3000/- as the fee for registration to participate in the Competition. In addition to this, the OC will Provide Accommodation Assistance.
• Upon successful completion and submission of the registration form, each team will receive a confirmation email from the OC.
• If any team does not receive the confirmation email, they should send an email ( [email protected]).
• Incomplete registration form will not be accepted.
• The team shall nominate one member of the team as a primary contact person, who shall communicate all information concerning the competition. It shall be the responsibility of the person nominated to convey all such information to the other member(s) of the team.
• No refund shall be given under any circumstance in case of withdrawal.

Eligibility

• All students who are pursuing an Integrated 5-year LL.B. or 3-year LL.B. program from recognized Law Schools, Universities, and Institutions in India shall be eligible to participate.
• Each institution can be represented by only one team.

Team Composition

• Each participating team may consist of either two (2) or three (3) members. A team of two members shall include two speakers only. A team of three members shall include two speakers and one researcher.
• All members of a team should belong to the same institution/department. Any team, intending to change the team composition of the team shall intimate the OC by [email protected].
